The Manila Southwoods Golf & Country Club has two courses to enjoy a round of golf in: Masters and Legends. Let us get to know better on what each hole has to offer:
Masters
Excitement and precision right at the first hole! Be careful not to go towards the right – a bunker awaits you. The left has a cluster of bunkers and sand. Overall, it’s a smooth start to a monster course!
Master your short iron game to get through the slanting bunker portion. Be careful of the water!
Don’t distract yourself with the bunkers found on the foreground. The danger’s in the deep bunker hugging the green! Stay in line with the palms to get a clear view of the hole.
Go for a steady game. But keep your wits up – the creek around the green is pesky!
Be wary of the long beach bunker. Especially during the rainy season, you just might end up in a frustrating spot stuck there!
Here’s for some exciting challenges. With the turf and the sea to deal with, careful planning needs to be done to get to the green.
One of the hardest. Well-placed bunkers means you need to bring your A-game. Test your skills on making those long and accurate shots.
Get creative with this hole. For most, the safe and tried game would be to go for the cluster of palms found on your left. Take note of the frustrating patches of water and sand, though!
Right smack near the clubhouse and island green is a hole packed with challenges. Take caution of the bunkers scattered around the green!
Not a single bunker in sight – but don’t get cocky! Wind plays a big factor in this hole, that you may just end up where you least expect to be!
If wind wasn’t enough on the previous hole, then expect an even higher level of challenger here. The lake and the sand will give you enough trouble – the sloping green is also another factor to consider!
Now here’s where the wind will benefit you – if you do still play it right. Take extra care of the green that is angled – you do not want to end up in sand or water!
Steep elevation is the name of the game for this hole. Be wary of taking wayward shots. You may find yourself in a pinch if you don’t plan ahead for this challenge.
The fifty yard bunker should be avoided at all costs. Playing to the right seems to be the preferred mode of action.
Seemingly a relaxing hole for a change, just be careful of the two hundred yards of water!
Another straightforward affair, if not of the large body of water that will torment you.
Careful spacing is crucial in this hole. Be careful of the sand trap at the right corner!
Hugging the left side of the fairway is the safest route! Never underestimate the bunkers in this hole!
